Dominik Gora

Dominik joined Azevedo & Nelson after articling at a law firm focused predominantly on the practice of personal injury law. He worked in all aspects of civil litigation, gaining experience representing clients before the Superior Court of Justice. He also helped clients resolve disputes arising from the denial of accident benefits and wrongful dismissal claims. Dominik completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. In law school, he refined his advocacy skills through various moots and advocacy-based courses. Dominik represented the University of Ottawa at the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in World Trade Organization law, where his team won awards for Best Complainant written submission and Best Overall written submission. Prior to law school, Dominik graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelors of Arts degree with a specialization in Political Science. In the final year of his undergraduate degree, he was selected for an independent study course in Athens, Greece where he conducted research on the Greek sovereign debt crisis. That same year, he also spent the summer volunteering at a children’s centre for mental welfare in Thessaloniki, Greece. No matter the problem, Dominik ensures clients understand and are informed throughout the litigation or dispute resolution process. He is a keen advocate, ensuring that his clients have access to and make use of their rights when faced with various tort and insurance law issues, as well as general litigation matters in other areas of law.
