Antonio Azevedo has represented clients at both administrative tribunals and all court levels, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He has conducted hundreds of mediations, motions, applications, hearings, and trials and is a certified specialist in civil litigation. In 1999 he was certified as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. He also has advanced mediator training from the prestigious CDC Institute in Boulder, Colorado, and has published and lectured for various legal organizations and publications as well as local community newspapers. He discusses legal issues once a week for CHIN Radio.
Antonio has coached his son’s hockey teams and his daughter’s soccer teams. In addition Antonio engages in charity work, including raising funds for prostate cancer research, supporting education for children in need and contributing to other local community groups.
Antonio is an effective advocate with experience and success at both administrative tribunals, and all court levels including the Supreme Court of Canada (Peixeiro v. Haberman). He has conducted hundreds of mediations, motions, applications, hearings, and trials. He has argued precedent setting decisions.
After completing two years of undergraduate studies at York University, Antonio fast tracked into Osgoode Hall Law School. While at Law School he contributed to the student newspaper Obiter Dicta, participated in CLASP – the community legal clinic, and conducted independent research on emerging legal issues.
Antonio is a certified specialist in civil litigation and has been since 1999. He obtained his Masters of Law also from Osgoode Hall Law School, in Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He underwent advanced mediator training at the prestigious CDC Institute in Boulder, Colorado. He has published, and or lectured for The Advocates’ Quarterly, The Law Society of Upper Canada Special Lecture Series, The Ontario Bar Association, The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and for local community newspapers. He discusses legal issues once a week for CHIN Radio.
In addition to his law practice he finds time to participate in the community including coaching his son’s hockey teams, and his daughter’s soccer teams.
